WORLD BOOK STUDENT - Search by subject, Select Science & Math articles, click Content Standards (view standards), pull down Nebraska, pull down science, select grade level, find highlighted green link and click to find articles linked to the standard. Got to EDUCATORS TOOLS on side menu - See Graphic Organizers, Lesson Plans (select area of science then lesson plan for Federal Resources for Educational Studies/ Hot Chalk lesson Harvard Step Test/ The Teachers' Corner (free science worksheets http://www.Education.com/worksheets) and (200,000 free lesson plans http://LessonPlanet.com/Science)and Professional Development links.

To create list of vocabulary from text taken from World Book article you must CREATE a login or LOGIN if you haven't already done so. Click box under Show Subjects: Science. Click on 'Create Word List' , Fill in Worldlist Title, check include an example sentence with each word, and Share this word list with others, Save Word List after you select the words you want for vocabulary list.
SPELLING LIST - Under WORD LIST ACTIONS click on Edit This Word List, title it, then under SAVE AS pull down arrow and select SPELLING BEE. Check the box 'share this with others'. Click SAVE THIS WORD LIST

Setting up Visual Thesaurus Student Accounts if no email address
1. Go to http://nnnc.visulthesaurus.com<http://nnnc.visualthesaurus.com/>YOUR ACCESS URL)
2. Sign in with your username and password
3. Click on "My Account" in the upper right hand corner of screen (under your we;come message)
4. Click on "Additional Users"
5. click on the "Add User" green +sign
6. Select "Basic User" for students
7. Choose between creating users one at a time or uploading multiple users via an Excel spreadsheet
8. Click OFF the checked box that says "Use email addresses as usernames (recommended)."
9. Follow the prompts for adding users (according to the method you chose in Step 7.
You can send excel spreadsheet with names of students to Georgia Scurletis gscurletis@thinkmap.com
She will issue your students an account. Tell her you are from NNNC in Nebraska with Gloria Christiansen from ESU8 in Neligh.
